Shot amid the powdery haven we call home, our first ever promo video is a homage to Niseko’s unique, pristine and sometimes unruly winter environment. The video was filmed and directed by Knack Studios’ Director of Photography Rob Norman, who is renowned for his work with a range of high profile action sports brands including Red Bull, Roxy, Rip Curl and Vans.
The story follows five of OYUKI’s Ambassadors, Kazu Takada, Snowy McMahon, Matt Hampton, Justin “Grover” Graves and Conrad Mitchell, emphasising that riding in Niseko is just as much about mateship, mindfulness and appreciating the beauty of your surroundings as it is about the powder.
OYUKI is a premium snow-wear brand designed and tested in Niseko, Japan. Thanks to a unique combination of functional materials, innovative thinking and a commitment to providing quality and comfort, our specialized deep powder apparel keeps skiers and snowboarders on the mountain even in the toughest conditions.
Our designers are riders themselves who live in Niseko during the northern hemisphere winter, working closely with our ambassadors who are all passionate skiers, snowboarders and outdoor addicts. You don’t need to be a pro to ride for OYUKI, you just need to love the mountain life. Our ambassadors motivate us to continually update and refine our products to make sure they are perfectly suited to any conditions Mother Nature may throw at them.
At OYUKI we are also inspired by key elements of Japanese design. We like to keep the outside simple and clean, while the technical aspects of our apparel work hard under the surface, making sure you’re warm, comfortable and on the mountain longer.
We are proud of our products, but we’re also proud of the place we come from. Please share our video so that others can feel the love, too.
